Affordable Pet Vaccination Clinics at The Country Vet in Marin
Every Tuesday & Saturday by appointment
Did you know we offer low-cost, high-quality vaccination clinics twice every week on Tuesdays & Saturdays? We also do vaccine titer testing – a quick blood test that can help your pet avoid a vaccine if it shows they still have enough antibodies in their system to protect them. The cost for the test is $75, the lowest in Marin, to help the most animals at the lowest price. (Other vets change $200+ and have less than optimal clinical facilities). Take care of your pet quickly, easily and inexpensively at The Country Vet’s Vaccination clinics this week. Call early for your appointment as we book up quickly.

Foxtail Season is Here!
Watch out for foxtails (grass seed and awns). They come in many shapes and sizes but all become a big problem when they get stuck in your pets paws, ears, noses and eyes. The most dramatic place for a foxtail is the nose, and pets will violently sneeze repeatedly to try and get it out. Luckily, we have specialized equipment that allows us to reach foxtails far up in the nose. It’s called a Rigid Rhinoscope and is usually only used by expensive specialists. We are glad to have this tool at hand so we can help your pets. We recommend you avoid areas with dry grass or recently weed wacked grass when you are out with your pet so you can avoid having to come in for treatment. If you suspect your pet has a foxtail somewhere, give us a call.
New Digital Dental X-Ray
Recently, we installed a new dental Xray unit which is allowing us to diagnose dental problems early so we are able treat teeth before they need to be pulled and assist us when extracting teeth if they are unable to be saved.
New Flea and Tick Treatment for Dogs
We are just starting to evaluate a new oral flea and tick product for dogs called NexGard. It tastes better and is less likely to cause nausea than the product we previously carried and is labeled for both fleas and ticks.
We’ve all heard the phrase ‘dogs are man’s best friend.’ To love a pet like they’re members of the family is natural and brings such joy. Funny, it actually makes us all more human. Your best friend deserves a complete animal hospital which includes state-of-the-art, on-site technology and lab facilities with caring veterinarians and staff. It just feels right. Sometimes, knowing a bit more and doing a bit more can make a lifetime of difference. At The Country Vet, people have found the most compassionate doctors for over 33 years with one simple but vital goal – the health and happiness of your pet.
If you have a new pet, or are just looking for expert, friendly care for one of your best friends, call 415-897-8380 – we’d love to meet you both.
