The Country Vet Policies
We request 48 hour notice for all refills. The front office can’t fill your pet’s prescription without the approval of the doctor. Please give us as much notice as possible when you are running low on your pet’s prescription. We have 24 hour voicemail so feel free to leave a refill message for us! If you plan on re-using your prescription bottle for refilling chronic medications, please let us know at the time you request the refill and then bring the bottle with you when you pick it up.
We recommend planning at least 1 week ahead for appointments that are routine, such as vaccines, blood testing, acupuncture and annual exams. For animals who are very sick, most days we have 3 doctors on staff, so we are usually able to fit in same day appointments. Please make sure to call early in the day if you feel your pet needs to be seen the same day. If our appointments fill up and your pet still needs to be seen the same day we are almost always able to offer you a “drop off” visit. This is where you leave your pet with us for most or part of the day. This way, the vet will be able to assess, diagnose and treat your pet during procedure time or in between other appointments.
CANCELLATIONS AND MISSED APPOINTMENTS
We strive to take good care of your pets and also honor your time. We book out 30 minute appointment slots for your visit and make an effort to always be on time. In order to facilitate the best care for your pets, we ask for at least 24 hour notice if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment. As a courtesy, we call the day before your visit as a reminder. If you do not show up for an appointment, cancel last minute or are more than 15 minutes late, we may charge you a missed appointment fee (equivalent to our current exam fee). We appreciate your cooperation.

PAYMENT FOR SERVICES
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer payment plans or bill you for your pet’s care. Payment is required at the time of service. We do accept the Care Credit card which is a no interest or low interest payment option for medical bills. Visit www.CareCredit.com for more information. We also accept Mastercard, Visa and Discover cards, along with checks and cash.
